Manilkara kauki is a tree species from the Sapotaceae family, native to South America, including Brazil.
Sawo wood possesses the following characteristics:
- It is hard and durable, making it suitable for crafting Hapé pipes.
- It has a smooth surface, making it pleasant to the touch and easy to work with.
- It is resistant to moisture, making it suitable for use in tropical conditions.
The Manilkara kauki tree has a long history of use in traditional natural medicine in South America.
