"Jaguar" is a tepi carved with a big-cat motif. On the body you can see the shaped silhouette of the animal, with the head, paws, and carved lines marked out, while the piece keeps the classic tepi function. It’s a model that is both a tool and a small sculpture - the detail is readable even from a distance.
Material - sawo wood
Sawo usually has a warm brown tone, often with a caramel or slightly reddish hue. The structure is often fine, and after finishing the wood becomes smooth to the touch. Depending on the piece, natural streaks, color transitions, and differences in brown saturation may appear.
Handcraft and differences
Each piece is handmade, so small differences in the wood shade, grain layout, and carving details are possible. In figurative models, variations can be more visible because carved edges and recesses catch the light differently.
