Tectona grandis, also known as teak wood, is a tree species originating from tropical regions of Southeast Asia, as well as Central and South America. Teak wood is valued for its strength, hardness, and durability, making it a good material for crafting Kuripe pipes.
Properties of teak wood:
- It is hard and durable, making it resistant to mechanical damage and scratches.
- It has good resistance to moisture and fungi, making it durable and easy to maintain.
- It has good resistance to warping and dimensional changes due to variations in temperature and humidity.
- It has an interesting natural appearance with various shades of color ranging from light yellow to dark brown.
