In some indigenous cultures, Yerba Santa falls under the category of sacred plants and is used as incense to purify, love, protect, cleanse, define boundaries, or heal emotional and spiritual.
It is said that when we experience emotional changes, the incense of Yerba Santa allows us to unlock the energy inherent in the 4 chakra - the heart chakra.

Clear your space ..
Light the incense with a candle, match or lighter and always make clockwise circular movements. Use a feather or a fan to direct the smoke to what you want to clean.
If you want to clean your room, home or office, start with yourself, from head to toe, and then back to heart, always with circular and calm movements.
Once you've done that, it's time to take the room. Start at the front door and go clockwise going through every corner, window and door.
You decide when your ritual ends. When you are ready, take a deep breath and take a few minutes to quieten your thoughts. You may end up thanking the universe for all the blessings that have come and will come.
