Manilkara kauki is a species of tree from the Sapotaceae family, native to South America, including Brazil.
Sawo wood has the following properties:
- It is hard and durable, making it suitable for making Hapé pipes.
- It has a smooth surface, making it pleasant to the touch and easy to work with.
- It is resistant to moisture, making it suitable for use in tropical conditions.
The Manilkara kauki tree has been used in traditional natural medicine in South America for many years. A decoction of the leaves of this tree can be used as a pain reliever and anti-inflammatory, and the leaves are also used as a remedy for diarrhea, skin conditions, and other ailments. In some regions, the leaves of Manilkara kauki are also used as a remedy to reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being.
